REVIEW: The Glittery Gloria of ‘Sister Act’ at the Broward Center

Yet, the show is ultimately stolen by the more subdued character of Sister Mary Robert (Mikayla Cohen), a shy postulant of the convent who finds her voice in the song “The Life I Never Led” a power ballad where she pines for all the possibilities in the world outside the church. Cohen puts on full display some highly impressive soaring vocals that are well-hidden by her demure character.
